esca shoebox appeal

The ESCA Shoebox Appeal runs from February to the end of March every year and is a great way of sending gifts to disadvantaged children in Northern Romania in time for Easter.

In the area where we send the gifts there are many, many children living in very deprived circumstances. Many of these children have no families or possessions of their own and rairly receive gifts. It means so much to them that somebody somewhere cares enough to send them something. The plight of these children used to be prevelent in the British media, but now they are seen as old news and are often forgotten.

If you want to get involved and send a gift, it couldn't be easier. Have a look through the section on making a box, don't forget to enclose £3 to cover transport costs, then bring it to us at the ESCA office in Potterrow, Edinburgh, or your local collection point and we'll do the rest.
