Medics Rag in a new project for 2007. Essentially it is a new student society with the aim of getting students, primarily from the School of Medical and Biological Sciences, involved in fundraising activities.
The society is still being put together and formalised, but be sure to check back for more details as soon as they become available.
A group of Chinese students from accross Edinburgh have raised in excess of £13,000 for the British Red Cross China Earthquake Appeal.
They ran a number of collections, around Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt Universities, on the streets of Edinburgh City Centre and at COSTCO. Many thanks to all those who helped or made a donation.
At least sixty five thousand people were killed and many more injured by the devastating earthquake that struck south west China on 12th May 2008.
On 5th October 2008, Tom French and Laura Jayne Baker will attempt to complete the BUPA Great North Run (a half marathon distance) in aid of the mental health charity MIND.
